How to Apply

Selecting a school can be one of life’s biggest decisions. Our goal is to partner with prospective families throughout the five-step admissions process to support an informed choice. Please reach out with any questions at any time–we want to get you the information you need to decide what is best for your family.

Step 1 – Tour MRM

The first step is to come see for yourself what MRM is all about! During the tour, you will explore our historic building, observe students actively engaged in classrooms, and learn more about what Montessori education really is. Our aim is to answer your questions and provide a solid understanding of all that Many Rivers has to offer.

To schedule a tour, please contact our Admissions Coordinator via email, phone, or our Inquiry Form.

Eight smiling students pose with thickly knit multicolored scarves around their necks while a male teacher stands behind them. Two of the children are giving the peace sign.

Please note, a tour of the school is optional for current MRM families’ sibling applications. Also, if you are located out of state or otherwise unable to visit in person, please contact us to discuss accommodations.

Step 2 – Apply

Following your tour, the next step is to head over to our Admissions Portal (Veracross) and begin the application. Note, a non-refundable $50 application fee is required.

If applying for need-based financial aid, an application for aid must be submitted at the same time as an application for admission. Please see the Financial Aid page for more details. Financial aid applications are considered on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted.

Once your application has been submitted in Veracross, please initiate the Records Release Authorization form and the Teacher Reference form in Veracross at your earliest convenience. These forms will be considered as part of the admissions application packet.

Please note: Some schools will not accept a web form via our platform Veracross. As an alternative, you can provide the forms linked below to the responsible parties directly. Once the forms have been received by MRM, our team will then manually complete the Veracross application checklist.

Step 3 – Admissions Visit

Once a fully complete application packet has been received (including Records Release and Teacher Reference forms), MRM will reach out to schedule an Admissions Visit. During this visit, MRM educators meet informally with student applicants in order to assess school or grade-level readiness. At the Toddler and Children’s House levels, students generally make small group visits on a prearranged date for 20-30 minutes. Lower Elementary applicants (grades 1-3) visit the classroom for a half-day visit. Upper Elementary and Middle School applicants (grades 4-8) visit for a full school day. At all levels, these visits also include time for prospective parents and school faculty to become better acquainted. For applications under consideration during the summer months, a one-on-one meeting with one of our educators will be arranged.

Step 4 – Decision

Parents will be notified of their child’s admission status via email. Acceptances for the following school year tend to be communicated in March, with signed contracts and deposits due in April. If these dates have passed, please contact us to discuss possible openings.

Step 5 – Enrollment

To confirm your child’s place at Many Rivers Montessori, you will submit an enrollment contract accompanied by a $500 non-refundable enrollment deposit. This fee will be applied to the final tuition payment for the school year.

Please note: The Tuition Agreement is for the full school year.

Before your child(ren) can attend school, MRM will need to have all necessary enrollment forms and health forms completed and submitted. Information about these requirements will be provided to new families before the school year.

Thank you for your interest in Many Rivers Montessori. We look forward to meeting you!
