How to Apply

We know that selecting a school for your child(ren) can be one of the most important decisions you ever make. We want to partner with you to support the process and share as much information as we can to help you make an informed choice for your family.

As of January 9th, for the 25-26 school year, we have closed applications for the Toddler program. We are grateful for the high level of interest we receive each year, as the number of applications often exceeds the number of available spots, and this year has been no exception.

Note, we still anticipate Children’s House openings. If your child was born before October 1st, 2022, then your child is eligible to apply for Children’s House 1.

Step 1 Observe & Tour

During the tour, you will explore our beautiful campus, observe students actively engaged in their classrooms, and learn more about Montessori education. You will also have the opportunity to meet with our Head of School and Kelly Wick, our Admissions Coordinator, to discuss your observations and ask any questions you may have about the school, its curriculum, or its policies and procedures.

To schedule an admissions tour, please start by clicking the button below. Should you need any assistance, please contact Kelly Wick at kelly.wick@manyriversmontessori.org or call 218-464-5570.

Applications are considered on a rolling basis. Note, for current MRM families that are applying for student siblings, the school tour portion of your admissions checklist will be manually updated by our team.

Step 2 Apply

  • Following your tour & observation, if you would like to apply for a spot for your child, the next step is to head over to our admissions portal (click for link) and submit a non-refundable $50 application fee.
  • Need-based financial aid applications are also due at this time. Please see the Financial Aid page for more details. After March 7th, financial aid applications are considered on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted.
  • For parents looking to apply for the sibling deadline, please click HERE.
  • Once you’ve formally applied, please initiate the Records Release Authorization form and the Teacher’s Reference Form (linked below as well) via the Admissions Portal at your earliest convenience. They will be used as part of the admissions consideration process. Some schools will not accept a web form via Veracross, unfortunately. As an alternative, printing these and providing them to the responsible parties ensures they have the needed authorization from you. Our team will manually complete the checklist item for these forms within Veracross once received.

Step 3 Admissions Visit

The admissions visit is an informal opportunity for a teacher to meet with a prospective student and make an assessment about school or grade level readiness. At the Toddler and Children’s House levels, students generally make small group visits on a prearranged date. Lower Elementary applicants (grades 1-3) visit the classroom for a half day visit while Upper Elementary & Middle School applicants (grades 4-8) will visit for the full school day. Whether at the Toddler, Children’s House, Elementary or Middle School level, these visits also include time for prospective parents and school faculty to become better acquainted.   For applications received in the summer, applicants have a one-on-one meeting with one of our teachers.

Step 4 Decision

Parents will be notified of their child’s admission status. Acceptance for the following school year will be made in March, with signed contracts and deposits due in April. If these dates have passed, please contact the school to discuss possible openings.

Step 5 Contract

To confirm your child’s place at Many Rivers Montessori, please submit your enrollment contract, accompanied by a $500 non-refundable enrollment deposit. This fee will be applied to the final tuition payment for the school year.

Please note: The Tuition Agreement is for the full school year.

Before your child can attend the school, we will need to have all necessary enrollment forms completed, and health forms submitted. You will receive information on these requirements before the school year.

We Look forward to meeting you at an upcoming Tour!
